Throwdown in O-Town has been the only sanctioned Thai boxing show in Ottawa. It has proved to be a starting block for an astounding amount of extremely decorated careers. It is probably the reason I am even in Ottawa. The reason I have this amazing life! Kru Chris and I came up to help the boys train for the first one! After almost a 3 YEAR BREAK due to the crumbling of a Thai boxing sanctioning body, WE ARE BACK!!! This is HUGE for Thai boxing in Ottawa, period. Regardless of gym or affiliation, every Thai boxing fan should try and make their way to Tailgators on April 2nd to join us in the welcoming home of our great sport. Many of OAMA's top athletes will be fighting, in hopes that maybe they can follow in the footsteps of these Throwdown Veterans: Check it out and start believing in the possibilities!




-Mark Boots" Holst Fought in Throwdown in 2007 and 2008 and was in the UFC in 2010. He has won 2 Muay Thai titles, fought pro all over, in Lumpinee stadium and other meccas in Thailand and also won 2 pro MMA titles.






-Steph Bernadel fought in 2007 and has went on to be a top contender with 7 pro mma fights
-Remi Morvan fought in 2008 and has gone on to fight 13 pro MMA fights.
-Clint Martin fought in 2007 and had 7 pro MMA fight
-Josh Palmer fought in 2007 and 2008 and went on to fight over 50 pro Muay Thai fights
-Devin Henry fought in 2007 and has gone on to be a 3 x Muay Thai Champion and has competed pro in MMA and Muay Thai
-Jason Motard fought 5 pro MMA fights and won a Freedom Fight Pro MMA title
-Jamie Helmer is a decorated Muay Thai fighter and pro MMA fighter who fought Throwdown in 2007
- Mitch Fowler and Robert Thomas both fought in 2008 on Throwdown card at a young age and now have world titles amongst other accolades
-Kru Joe Tipping won the Throwdown in O-Town prestige title to add to his collection of 6 belts in 2008. He now has his own gym.

There are more that I cant think of off the top of my head... But it is pretty amazing! DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!! You will be witnessing the future! Fighters... There is all the evidence that you need. Anything can be done. It's all about taking that first step.
